Breuil, Henri
(1877-1961)
   paleontologist, historian, priest
   Born in Mortain, Henri Breuil was a professor of prehistoric ethnography at the college de France. He specialized in the study of Paleolithic art and participated in the discovery and authentication of the most important prehistoric cave sites (Com-barelles, Font-de-Gaume, Altamira, Lascaux, Mar-soulas) and is the author of Quatre Cents Siècles d'art pariétal (1952).
